I am always looking for cure gifts for people, and unique household decorations- so a while back I started decorating birdhouses.

You can buy the plain wood birdhouses at any craft store, I get mine at Michaels(http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayProductPage?productNum=cp0209). For the one I show here I used scraps from old jeans I had. I first painted it all white with some brown accents. As you can see I alternated jean colors on the top. The only other supplies used were just plain rope for the details, and a really good glue gun.

This one was made for a shore house. It's fun to do when you have a specific person/location in mine. I have made some fun sports team and college themed ones. I will try and post more pictures of others!
