Ikea and its great fabric designs have once again helped me create an easy and cheap decoration! This framed wall art sits on a shelf above our couch and really helps brighten up the room (we rent so painting is not an option). This project cost under $30 and took about 5 minutes.

I started with an Ikea frame and 1 yard of fabric. I removed the  backing of the frame and measured how much fabric I would need, leaving about two inches of extra fabric all around. When measuring, I made sure that the section of the fabric I choose was exactly what I wanted to show when framed. After cutting off the extra fabric I laid it face down with the frame backing on top, pulled the fabric tight, and started stapling it down. Put the fabric covered backing in the frame and DONE!

I obviously didn't come up with this idea on my own, Ikea has framed fabric all over their store=)
