Antique Printing Press Restoration

Project Description add commentupload similar

By far my biggest restoration endeavor! I am a designer and was lucky enough to acquire a Golding Improved Pearl No. 11 printing press, circa 1912. It took me two days to remove the grease, pollen, dirt, dust, leaves, and cobwebs covering the press, and another two to paint and polish. May need to update the photo as I've just refinished the wooden feed trays last weekend - only 9 months later!

Recommend: Simple Green BBQ spray foam to remove grease build-up, Rustoleum Universal Spray Paint for effortless/no-drip painting, and of course, WD-40!
