We changed an old trunk to some new ottomans in our living room. We needed more practical storage and we wanted a way to put our feet up on something that wasn't so high. And, the sharp corners all of the trunk aren't so kid friendly. Plus, the ottomans have great storage and the tops flip over to make useful snack trays. Crate and Barrel delivered, unpacked them, and took away the trash. Only problem is that I can't say anything about junk in the trunk anymore.

We can modify our home need by this widwi.We can make our home to look in rich with an high flushed .we wanted a way to put our feet up on something that wasn't so high. New ottoman looks very nice, fits the space much better. Gotta love the old trunk though! I have a similar trunk and had a glass piece made for the top of it; makes a great end table now.

Thanks! We really like the new ottomans, but I agree, we lost some charm in that trunk. We were actually deciding between a glass top for it and these ottomans and decided that these would be more kid friendly, which is important to us right now. The good news is that the trunk made it into our bedroom, so it lives on! What is OldHouseWeb? Cobbwebs in old houses or do you remodel stuff?
