How To Fix A Broken Bed Post

broken bed post wouldnt accept the side rails
all done.  woo hoo!
  • broken bed post wouldnt accept the side rails
  • broken side
  • clamped
  • clamped it down to make the cut
  • clamped
  • was actually pretty steady
  • cutting the replacement wood peices
  • pretty the replacement stabilizers
  • screwed in the 1st support.  put a board in the slot to maintain the gap for the siderail
  • almost done!
  • holds great!
  • the bolts act as the rails for the side post
  • check out them apples
  • it holds!
  • looking good!
  • all done.  woo hoo!

The side rail insert slot/post to hold up the side rail on the bed broke.  So...we fixed it.
