Organic Diorama : Coffee Pot Terrarium

I made this glow in the dark polymer clay sculpture and he needed somewhere to live

The terraium worm is so long his tail reaches almost all the way around the pot.

I kept seeing these great coffee decanters in the thrift stores so I started making terrariums from them about a year and a half ago. Now I am so addicted to it I am making 350 Plantscapes for the 2009 Christmas craft sale season in Vancouver. I make terrariums and planters and hanging sculptures from thrift store glassware and ceramics. I then sculpt miniature aliens and alien plant life to populate the miniature environments, making them more like organic dioramas than anything else. I use coffee pots but also a vast array of other, sometimes unlikely containers. Check out my latest works in the for sale section of my website www.thyrza.ca
